I’m a grey fanatic. It can be matched with any bright color and look fabolous or be set as a focal point on a shoe or in an outfit. The above-pictured Nike Air Max 95 does both, blending a napped ‘cool grey’ suede upper with Cyber yellow accents. This pair is a great example of well mild and vivid colors work toghether. I’m sure I’m not the only person thinking it’s a great YEAR to be a part of teamSFS (small foot syndrome)! We’ve seen a number of GS exclusive colorways drop from Jordan Brand and Nike so far this year, including the ‘Volt‘ Nike Lebron 9 and the ‘Voltage Cherry‘ Air Jordan IV. Continuing on in the trend of GS-awesomeness is a brand new colorway of the Air Diamond Turf II. It features a Royal Blue and ‘Cyber’ yellow colorway, much like that of the Nike Air Griffey Max 1. I’m more than certain these will be a must-have for small footers this season and that the big footers will be salty! Dah-well! Here we have a brand new Blazer Low colorway for Spring. It features a perforated melon colored upper with a light voltage cherry swoosh and Nike logo on the tongue. I’ve always had issues with Blazer Low (not the most comfortable in my experience) but I really like how simple this colorway is. We first previewed the Reebok Chi-Kaze in November and since it’s introduction, we’ve seen a Valentine’s Day themed colorway and now, we get a first look at a new pair for Spring. It’ll feature a white leather upper with a mesh collar and aqua and neon cherry accents. A gum outsole is something I wouldn’t have expected to see on this pair but I must say, it looks pretty good. How would you celebrate your 30th birthday? Most of us would probably not do so by observing the occasion with a princess themed b-day bash, but Reebok thinks it would be most appropriate. Continuing on in commemorating 30 wonderful years in the marketplace, the Reebok Freestlye gets royal in this latest edition. An ‘Olympic Creme’ colored based is embellished with a brushed metallic collar bejeweled with tiny rhinestones. A very distinguished patch honoring the Freestyle’s achievement is added to the tongue along with a gum outsole as a finishing touch. This year’s retro release of the Diamond Turf 2 (complete with Primetime’s original logo no less) is positioned to stabilize some this Summer’s Jordan Brand retro artillery. We’ve seen a number of colorways drop already but the Varsity Red pair has been highly anticipated by lovers of the OG as well as new fans. Today, per usual, we give attention to the grade school version which carries the colorway well for such a small package. The “Varsity Red” Nike Diamond Turf 2 GS retails for $80 and is available now in-store only at Shoe City.
